Children's Swim Lessons in Point Clare

Building Confidence for Future Swimmers

About Lou (Louise)

Louise began her working career caring for and educating infant and preschool-aged children as a qualified child care worker. In 2001, after completing the Diploma of Community Services (Children’s Services) Louise chose to branch out into aquatic education.

Louise gained her AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water safety licence in January 2002 whilst gaining valuable swim teaching experience working for several swim schools in Sydney and on the Central Coast.

Lou's Learn To Swim

In early 2003, Lou's Learn To Swim began. Lou continues her education and training in the teaching of aquatic skills through courses and conferences. Lou's AUSTSWIM qualifications include:
  • Swimming and Water Safety
  • Infant and Preschool Aquatics
  • Access and Inclusion Aquatics
  • Towards Competitive Strokes

Philosophy

Lou’s aim is to provide a friendly, caring and educational environment for everyone. There are four central beliefs that underpin Lou's teaching. These are:

That the learning environment should reflect her respect for the values and beliefs of others.

When teaching children, she values their uniqueness and nurtures their development, realising that each child develops skills at their own pace.

Providing varied experiences that allow for experimentation and discovery of new skills.

Fostering children’s growth towards independence, which includes the development of confidence and abilities in the aquatic environment

A Relaxed and Quiet Home Pool Environment

Only one class is in the pool at a time, whether it is a 1-1 private lesson or a group lesson. This is a perfect environment for people who find it difficult to learn in a larger and noisier setting.
